COLUMN Function

Returns the column number of a reference

Syntax

COLUMN(reference)

  • reference  Optional. The cell or range of cells for which you want to return the column number. If reference is omitted, COLUMN returns the column number for the cell in which the function appears. The reference argument cannot refer to multiple areas.
